Jacob Witzling and Sara Underwood are constructing a captivating series of cabins in a rainforest in the Pacific Northwest. Their latest creation, the Diamond Cabin, is inspired by geometry and fairy tales. The hexagonal pyramid roof and 16 skylights of various shapes, such as triangles and trapezoids, embody the geometrical aspect. On the other hand, the use of moss and salvaged cedar shakes that are decades-old for the siding, adds a whimsical touch to the design. The cabin is hexagonal in shape with six-foot sides, and the walls expand outward at a 30-degree angle, reaching a height of four feet from the floor. The total floor area of the cabin is 93 square feet.
