Following their discovery of a Hawaiian papaya farm, filmmaker Jess Bianchi and jewelry designer Malia Grace Mau enlisted San Francisco artist Jay Nelson to construct their ideal home in just five weeks on Kauai. The house is situated one block from the ocean and is fashioned after traditional Hawaiian surf shacks, utilizing mostly salvaged redwood fencing. According to Bianchi, the property features various animals such as roosters and rabbits, as well as fruit trees, and the sound of crashing waves can be heard at night.
